I chose to do this piece because it stood out to me and was just very unique. I liked the way that the artist made the butterfly stand out. I think my best piece would be my value study painting because I think that I did pretty good at making the butterfly stand out of the apple and shadow it correctly. I think my worst one was the shape and space piece because I had a really hard time cutting the tissue paper to fit the shapes. I also had a hard time getting the edges to stay down. Doing the different studies made me realize how much shadowing is used in different paintings and how it makes the different shapes in the painting stand out.

I chose to do my mask on volleyball because I love the sport and I had some very fun ideas on what I could do with it.

My original idea was to do one of my mask using a real volleyball and cutting it up to form the mask.I was unable to do this because I didn't get a volleyball to cut up.

I am pretty happy with how my mask turned out. It took a long time but I think it looks pretty nice.

I think that drawing the hands was a little hard but after a lot of practice it was easy for me. I loved doing the zentangles! it took a little while for me to get into them but after I did it was very fun!
